Blizzard has announced that two more titles have joined the Blizzard Arcade Collection: The Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing. You can access both games through the collection right now, you'll just first need to download a free update.

The Lost Vikings is a side-scrolling platform adventure originally released for Super NES in 1993 before heading to other platforms. The Mega Drive/Genesis version contained five stages not present in other versions and could be played by three players. It was re-released for Game Boy Advance and has been available through Battle.net as a free download. In the game, you control three Vikings each with their own abilities. You must make them work together to finish each level.

Your typical remaster of classic 16-bit games, with great emulation and occasional framerate issues caused by hardware issues from back in the day. The definitive editions of each game included in the collection look and run much better than their original counterparts.

While the N64 emulation on the Switch got off to a pretty rocky start, the N64 app has received a number of updates since it launched in October 2021 and now it does a pretty good job of presenting these classic early polygonal games in high definition.

The company specialises in releasing individual arcade titles at an affordable price (usually $7.99 / 6.29 each). While the sheer number of games released to date means it would cost a small fortune to buy them all, the idea here is similar to the Virtual Console where players can choose which specific games they want to own.

By far the most interesting thing about Arcade Archives on the Switch is that Hamster was given permission to release a number of Nintendo arcade games. There are 20 Nintendo arcade games on here, none of which were ever made available to buy in the past.

These include the arcade versions of the Donkey Kong games, the twin-screened Punch-Out!! and Super Punch-Out!! and the extra difficult VS Super Mario Bros.

The Neo Geo hardware came in two forms, the MVS and the AES. The MVS was an arcade board that supported special cartridges, meaning arcade owners could swap in and out games without having to buy new cabinets or expensive upgrade kits.

The scale of this project far exceeds what we saw from Blizzard's re-release of Diablo 1, which saw the company merely hand the game's original files to GOG to be resold as a DRM-free collection. This 2019 launch included a mild tweak to the handling of its online play, albeit done in a way that we still do not recommend anyone actually use. The greater scale of the project may explain why Blizzard is asking for a relatively steep price of $39.99 for its PC preorder, already live at Blizzard's shop. (Let's be clear: tantalizing as this already looks, we're not preordering. You've got goodwill to re-earn here, Blizz.)

Blizzard President J. Allen Brack kicked off Friday's video presentation by announcing Blizzard Arcade Collection, a $19.99 package containing mildly updated ports of the developer's earliest 16-bit console games: Lost Vikings 1 & 2, Rock 'N Roll Racing, and Blackthorne. Each game benefits from typical classic-emulation collection perks, like save states and visual filters, while also getting its own specific tweaks (an updated map interface in Blackthorne, 16:9 ratios and four-player split-screen in R&RR, and "combined" content for the Lost Vikings games). The collection's PC version launches today, and fans who already purchased a "Blizzard Digital Anniversary Bundle" (mostly full of cosmetic add-ons for existing games, as part of BlizzCon's celebration, and starting at $20) will get the collection as part of that purchase. The collection will also arrive on PS4, XB1, and Switch digital-download shops today.

Battle.net is an online platform developed by Blizzard Entertainment that enables its users to chat, create and join game lobbies, and manage their downloaded games. The second version of Battle.net was released in July 2010, alongside the release of Starcraft 2.

Blizzcon 2021 kicked off with a batch of exciting game announcements, headlined by a Diablo 2 remaster. The showcase also highlighted Diablo 4, Blizzard Arcade Collection, new World of Warcraft updates, and more.

The game was first revealed at Blizzcon 2021 and has been long-awaited by fans of the Diablo franchise. Diablo 2: Resurrected will be a full HD remaster of the game's original release, as well as its Lord of Destruction expansion. While there will be a lot of changes visually, players can expect the same top-down view that the Diablo games are known for.

The Blizzard Arcade Collection, which is presumably set to be announced tonight during Blizzcon's opening ceremony, apparently includes three 90s-era Blizzard games. The games in the collection are Lost Vikings 1, Rock & Roll Racing, and Blackthorne.

One of the most critically-acclaimed games in history. Call of Duty4: Modern Warfare, is back, remastered in true high-definition, featuring enhanced textures, rendering, high-dynamic range lighting, and much more to bring a new generation experience to fans. Available on disc and digital download first on PS4.

It would have been great for me to schedule it to not update during a set amount of time, and to download during another set. All it would have to do is have a small mark next to the game in my library that indicates a new update is available.

Ouf, my installation procedure wasnt THAT bad, although when i tried to log in the website it went to the hotmail logout page instead of login me in at games for windows live. My sollution was to download the frigging program and login in there, which worked fine.

On the other hand I could not get the damned thing to use an online GFWL profile so it would record achievements. I did follow advice on the support forums to remove GFWL and its runtime (as installed by the game), download the latest from the GFWL site and install that and then try again. Still no dice.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced the PlayStation 3 Slim, a smaller and lighter model of the console and a release date of 1 September 2009. Firmware 3.0 for the PlayStation 3 was also announced, adding new features to the PlayStation Network. Sony announced that the European Video Store would launch in November 2009. Sony also announced that the PlayStation Portable would get smaller games (under 100mb) in the form of 'minis' and that comics would also be available to download in December 2009. A "free game" registration promotion was announced for the PSP Go. 041b061a72
